Katie - Founder & Master Practitioner
Katie had a vision to create a space where it was OK just to go and be. A space where it was safe to let go of any ego, to allow people just to be free and be present in that very moment. Giving permission to escape from the day to day stresses and surrender to healing for an hour or two at a time.
After training in the UK, Katie travelled to Indonesia to train with the local people who had healing in their ancestral lineage. Immersed in the local culture it was a humbling experience which was hard to come back from but immediately inspired the creation of The Hidden Sanctuary.
With a constant thirst for knowledge, and understanding of the body Katie studied Japanese Integrated Medicine under Dr Chris Roworth in London. She now practices both acupuncture and a combination of all the massage techniques in her armoury, making for very powerful treatments.
Katie is trained in the foundations of Japanese therapeutic massage, acupuncture, anatomy, physiology, oriental philosophy, and energy balancing techniques. She is a qualified Practitioner of Amatsu Japanese Integrated Physical Medicine, specialising in structural and musculoskeletal treatments. Her training includes joint and ligament correction, positional release, craniosacral and fascial techniques, remedial exercise, and Amatsu-specific acupressure — enabling her to work with a wide range of conditions such as back pain, frozen shoulder, sports injuries, undiagnosed pain and postural imbalances.
Building on this, Katie has completed advanced training in Japanese Internal Medicine (Okuden), with specialist qualifications in both Advanced Visceral Treatment (Shindenjutsu) and Amatsu Japanese Acupuncture. Shindenjutsu offers gentle yet powerful techniques to restore balance and function to the body’s organs and internal systems, supporting those with complex internal conditions such as IBS and other digestive disorders, chronic fatigue syndromes, hormonal imbalances, autoimmune-related concerns, post-viral conditions, and vaccine-related injury. Amatsu Acupuncture blends traditional Japanese methods with integrated healing approaches to enhance energy flow, vitality, and whole-body balance.
Katie’s background in reflexology, deep tissue sports massage, thai massage, meditation techniques and reiki all blend into her treatments and also are available to clients as ‘Master Practitioner’ treatments. Practising for over 10 years. Her ability to read the body and feel what it going on makes the treatments all the more powerful. Katie gives you presence. She ueses everything in her armoury to bring your body back to a healing state.

Jojo - Master Breathwork & Meditation Coach, Classic Massage Practitioner
Fifteen years ago, Jojo stepped away from the hustle of the events industry in search of a calmer life as a gardener. Yet even then, daily anxiety followed her. It wasn’t until she discovered breathwork that everything shifted. What began as a personal practice to ease her own struggles became a profound journey of self-connection, emotional regulation, and nervous system mastery.
Today, Jojo is a passionate breathwork guide and certified HeartMath coach. She blends the science of breathing with the art of inner transformation, creating powerful sessions that meet people where they are — from those seeking deep rest and stress relief, to high-performing teams wanting to sharpen focus, resilience, and energy.
Her training spans an impressive breadth of expertise:
Kasper van der Meulen (MindLift / Wim Hof Academy) – Breathwork science and nervous system regulation.
HeartMath Institute – Certified coherence training using HRV-based tools to regulate emotions, enhance resilience, and access the healing potential of heart–brain coherence (research also widely adopted by leading voices in the wellbeing space).
Ben Bidwell – Breathwork and coaching rooted in vulnerability, emotional wellbeing, and human potential.
Patrick McKeown – Oxygen Advantage® & Buteyko Clinic International – Functional breathing, CO₂ tolerance, and respiratory health for sleep, performance, and endurance.
In her workshops and 1:1 sessions, Jojo combines these influences into clear, practical frameworks. She demystifies the science of the central nervous system and breathwork, giving clients tools to:
regulate emotions and reduce stress
improve sleep quality and recovery
boost clarity, focus, and productivity
enhance resilience in both body and mind
Whether she’s guiding a group through rhythmic breathwork, coaching an individual through heart-coherence practices, or equipping a corporate team with science-backed stress-management strategies, Jojo’s sessions leave people feeling calm, energised, and more connected to themselves.
Jojo is your go-to for a reset — blending science, spirituality, and practical tools to empower you with a more balanced, vibrant, and resilient life.
Libby Stevenson - Classical Acupuncturist
Liberty integrates classical acupuncture with gentle embodiment techniques to support your return to physical, emotional and hormonal balance. Her treatments are particularly supportive for women moving through the many transitions of life - menstruation, post-natal recovery, perimenopause, menopause and beyond. This style of acupuncture is also particularly effective for chronic conditions, pain, stress, emotional overwhelm and inflammation.
With over eight years immersed in Eastern healing traditions and two years in clinical practice since qualifying, Liberty has worked in respected clinics across Bristol, London and Hampshire. Her warm, intuitive style meets each person exactly where they are.
Each session is personalised to what your body is asking for on the day. Session begin with a friendly dialogue, pulse taking, observation and palpation, followed by the application of acupuncture (with ultra-fine, sterile, single-use needles), moxa (herbal heat), gua sha (bodywork), and embodied practices that help reconnect you with your inner resources.
Many people feel progressive shifts with the first few sessions, how often you come depends many factors - Liberty will support you in finding the rhythm that’s right for you. Treatments often become less frequent as you begin to feel better - we want to help you improve so you don’t need to keep coming back. That said, seasonal treatments or occasional sessions every few months can support the integration of deeper changes and offer steady support through the natural unfolding of life.
